WIND-UP DOLL PAINTING

We are presenting for sale an original ATTRIBUTED TO PETE MENEFEE mixed media on board painting entitled WIND-UP DOLL done for a costume design.

Pete started working as a dancer professionally when he was 14, was in West Side story by the time he was 17, by 18 was in Bye Bye Birdie and at just 21 he was a Chimeny Sweep in Disney’s Mary Poppins. By this time he had already worked in television and completed five movies with Elvis!  His career since then has been long and varied. From dancing, to Broadway, to designer, to animator, he has seen it all, and all over the world. He’s worked with stars like Cher, Kiss, just about everyone in MoTown, Audrey Hepburn, and of course the great Walt Disney. A multiple Emmy-Award-winning costume designer, Pete Menefee is famed for his inimitable work with musical superstars, variety productions, and Nevada’s costume-spectacular stage shows. The Artistry of Pete Menefee, Costume Design for the Nevada Stage interprets the significance of Menefee’s work through photographs, stage costumes, and the original costume design renderings from Hello Hollywood Hello, Jubilee, and Splash.

The painting measures 16″ x 20″ and is in excellent condition. It is unframed.
