BLACK WOLF

We are presenting for sale an original RANDY BROECKER mixed media ink and tempera on board book cover painting entitled THE BLACK WOLF.  Also included with the sale of the painting is a copy of the hardback book that this painting was done for.

The Black Wolf is a horror novel by Galad Elfandsson, published in an edition of 1020 copies by Donald Grant in 1979.  It was later reissued in paperback using the same cover illustration.  Randy Broecker whose artwork has appeared in books published by Donald Grant, Underwood-Miller, Highland Press, Carroll & Graf, Pumpkin Books, Fedogan & Bremer, American Fantasy, PS Publishing, Sarob Press and many other imprints on both sides of the Atlantic.  He was Artist Guest of Honor at the 2002 World Horror Convention and is the author/compiler of the World Fantasy Award nominated Fantasy of the 20th Century: An Illustrated History and co-author of Art of the Imagination: 20th Century Visions of Science Fiction, Horror, and Fantasy, both published by Collectors Press.

Randy hand signed and dated the painting 79 at the lower right.

The painting measures 15″ x 20″.  It is unframed and in excellent condition.
