We are presenting for sale an original 1960’s MORT ENGLE book cover painting entitled FU MANCHU.
The main part of of the illustration (man, woman and body) were used for the cover of The Insidious Doctor Fu-Manchu (Pyramid G-579) in 1961. The image of Fu Manchu himself was used several times in the Pyramid line for Rohmer’s books including THe Drums of Fu Manchu (Pyramid F-804) (the rest of the cover was by Herb Tauss) and Daughter of Fu Manchu (Pyramid R-1032) (the rest of the cover was by Richard Krepel).
The painting has been professionally framed and in excellent condition. It has been hand signed by the artist.
Only the painting is being sold. No publication rights are being sold with the painting.
